There are a few rules that we all have to follow to try to avoid any problems. The main thing is respect others.
OOC rules
1. We are all here to help each other not to pick fights and argue. There will be disagreements from time to time--that's inevitable. Do not resort to insults. Listen to everyone's point of view and politely state your own. If a disagreement cannot be resolved by by rational discussion contact an officer.
2. The decisions of the Ennead and the Inner Sanctum(officers) are to be treated as the final word. If in the even that an officer's decision is considered to be unfair then you may write a complaint detailing the problems and submit it in an e-mail on the website.
3. Crafted items are free for guild members. Materials might have to be paid for but no charge for making the items. That way we can all support each other
4. Please try to keep the Guild chat channel rated PG-13. We have a few young members and who knows if we will get others. Language that you hear on network TV should be alright (damn hell bitch ass) but please refrain from more offensive cuss words. Do not use racial or offensive slurs (This includes using "fag" or "gay" as derogatory terms). Try to keep subjects from becoming too graphic. I know we have a lot of joking and teasing that has involved sexual material--just please try not to get graphic or offensive. I am not prude but some people can get offended.
5. When dealing with people outside the guild try to be polite, friendly and helpful. We want to have a good reputation with this guild and how you act reflects on the entire guild. There are a lot of jerks out there but please try to avoid fighting and being baited into public arguments and feuds.
6. Getting quest help and dungeon runs from higher level members is a favor from the higher level and should be appreciated. The high level is taking time from things they need to do and they don't have to help out lower levels. Its is a privilege and the lower level needs to be patient and wait until the higher has time. Do not get mad if you have to wait.
RP rules
1. InfiniteRP chat is role play only. We all slip up and put things in the wrong channels no big deal. Be polite when reminding new members of this rule.
2. Guild chat is open public OOC.
3. The setting for InfiniteRP chat is the Temple where the guild is based. There are many rooms and you can add rooms if you need to for RP reasons.
4. The temple has many servants and generic NPC that can be used for RP however needed. If you want to create and name an NPC giving them a personality that would be great. You can write up a profile of the NPC and post it on the website. An NPC created by someone can only have major changes from their creator. Do not kill maim disfigure or molest someone else's NPC.
5. Do not God Mode. God modding is doing things that are beyond the limits of your character or manipulating someone else's character. For example:
Do not have your character do things that are beyond reasonable powers. I will admit that Ennead is being RPed as if he was a much higher level but that is because he has to be powerful to run things.
6. We are trying to tie everyone into the main framework back story of the guild ( see other thread). Keep the guild story in mind as you RP please. We have a dark slant but we are not an evil guild of bloodthirsty killers out to destroy the world. It would be great if you get together with an officer to help shape your character to fit in with the guild.
7. If you are RPing on InfiniteRP chat try to acknowledge everyone who joins in. We want to include everyone. I know when there are a lot of people it can be confusing just try to think of talking in a room with a group. Even a simple *Glances over at so-and-so with a nod* is enough.
8. Please keep RP PG-13 on public channels including guild chat. I have taken a lot of rituals and things from many different religions and some include sacrifices and nudity. Don't get too graphic on public channels. In party chat the limits are up to the people involved with the RP. I don't look down on whatever is done in private but in public I don't want to be known as an ERP guild.
Recruitment
1. All recruitment should be done via RP. We are wanting to be careful and recruit people who RP and fit in with the theme of the guild. Take time to talk with them IC for a little while to get a feel for their style before you try to invite them. Once you have an IC idea about them then you can explain the guild theme in OOC (( ))
2. Do your best to make new members feel welcome and a part of the guild. Even if your character is rude don't pick a fight or scare the newcomers off right away.
3. If someone is recruited that you have a bad history with send an officer a message explaining what the problems are and we will deal with things depending on the situation.
Instances and Raids
1. Teamwork is very important in a group. Learn the roll of your class and talent spec. The group leader can mark the kill order of the enemies and also mark what is to be sheeped sapped charmed etc. Pay attention to what each mark stands for. Try not to break crowd control effects.
2. The need roll is there for a reason. Don't be afraid to roll need if the item is better than what you have. We all are here to help build up each other and we are not greedy. Don't ask if you need something then roll need. If you accidentally roll need on an item you can't use then offer the item to everyone else unless it is bind on pick up. If it is BoP then apologize sincerely. If a BoP item drops that no one can use and an enchanter is in the group let them roll need to disenchant it.
3. The job of the tank is to keep the healer alive. The job of the healer is to keep the tank alive and then as many of the rest of the party as possible. DPS classes need to learn to watch their threat and allow the tank to hold aggro.
4. Keep all pets on defensive and let one person pull the mobs. Do not charge into groups. Try to catch runners before they bring more mobs.
5. Listen to the advice of people who have run the instance before. Many of the bosses and rooms have a certain strategy that makes life easier. Don't be in such a hurry and get the group killed.
6. Things will go wrong from time to time and the group will wipe. Try not to get frustrated. We all make mistakes so forgive anyone if they slip up. Don't get mad about deaths. Remember it is just a game.

Lets say Stabby the rogue and Blinky the mage get in an RP fight. Stabby wants to stab Blinky with his dagger. Stabby should post : *Tries to drive his poisoned dagger into the back of the mage* That will give Blinky a chance to save himself. Blinky can then post: *Moves at the last second and the blade only cuts a small would on his arm*
