The first people of the world were lonely and they spent their time toiling in the heat of the sun. They worked in shifts, non stop because the sun never set. The Goddess Tanith watched them and she was sad to see them so lonely and overworked.
Tanith created the night sky to give them relief from the hot sun and the endless toil. In this sky she placed the moon and stars to give them some light. In contrast to the day, the night was much cooler, and even the plant life seemed to rest.
The next problem that Tanith wanted to fix was the loneliness she had seen in the eyes of the people. Her solution to that was to grant them the ability to love one another. She watched happily as people began to fall in love with one another.
For her final gift to people Tanith gave them the ability to have children. She knew the joy she found from watching them learn and grow and knew that the people would delight in seeing their own children grow as well. This also gave the people something to do aside from tending crops all day.
