Holy Paladins are spot healers first, and raid healers second. As Holy Paladins are without mass heals or heal over time capabilities, we are placed in most raids, on the tank(s). Don't think that you can slack off because you won't be covering entire sections of the raid all the time (don't worry, sometimes you will be), because if that tank falls in combat, all eyes will be on you. First of all, I want to mention now, that this is by far probably not the best guide out there, and I am only writing this from experience rather than actually going out and researching a whole bunch in depth on how to do the most healing with the least amount of over healing. IMO (watch this one come back to smack me in the mouth) raiding is all a big game of strategy. If you get the strategy with a great group who communicates, then you shouldn't have a problem! This guide will go over the basics of: Stats Gear Gems Glyphs Whatever random stuff I may put in here!

This thread will be put off until around Cataclysm. I would hate to put things here to guide one, only to have them be stuck respec'ing, geming, gearing...because of the large and heavy changes coming with Cataclysm.
